I'm Jim Broom and I'm the Sales Director with European
Circuits.
I have worked in the electronics industry for over 35 years
(having started at a very young age!) Working initially as a Design
Engineer, I moved into sales in the mid-80's with the semiconductor
division of Philips. This was at the height of Scotland's boom
Silicon Valley years when the central belt was awash with
multinational corporations and spin off companies.
I subsequently spent 10 years with Pronto, a specialist
Component Distribution company prior to joining Raytheon Systems in
Glenrothes. I joined European Circuits in January 2001.
I'm married to Jan, who is a teacher and we have two daughters -
Elaine who works as a Research Scientist in the pharmaceutical
industry and Carolyn who is a hospital Pharmacist.
In the good weather I play golf at Caldwell Golf Club and have a
14 handicap. During the winter season I play curling with the
Canadian Curling Club. The photograph above was taken on 27th
November 2011 and shows the winning team of our first trophy of the
season, The Canada Life Cup.
