Hi. My name is Maria
Victoria McLeish. I was born in the Metro Manila, Philippines. I
graduated at Adamson University Philippines as Bachelor of Science
in Chemistry. I was a Research Chemist at Johnson & Johnson in
the Philippines. Then I got interested to study Computing and
finished Computer Data Entry in University of the Philippines. I
then worked in Motorola Philippines as Quality Control Supervisor
for 13 years.
I was sponsored to go to America in 1986 by my parents. My first
employer in California was Compaq USA as quality Inspector Team
Leader. After 3 years I got a job at New United Motors Mfg Inc. (a
joint venture of Toyota and General Motors). I have worked in
various companies in Scotland. Prior to joining European Circuits I
worked for another electronics company which gave me the
opportunity to expand my knowledge in electronics and PCB
manufacturing focussing on SMT programming, PTH assembly and
repair.
I joined ECL in October 2006 and was hired as an SMT Machine
Operator. When I am not running the machine, I help on the assembly
line. ECL gives me a lot of opportunity and helps upgrade my IPC610
certification and support continuous improvement which I was
trained from my previous employers.
I am married to James McLeish, an Electrical Maintenance
Engineer at Polaroid. Dancing is my daily exercise and I enjoy keep
fit, shopping, cooking and singing. During fishing season I always
go with my husband in our boat at Loch Awe where we sometimes stay
overnight. James and I just came back from California to meet our
two new Grand-daugters, Olivia Rose McLeish and Lauren Alexandria
McLeish. It was a blessing and good present for James and
myself.
